so, i had an *incredibly vivid* dream last night... anyone want to play dream analysis?

this is the email i sent to the person who was in it with me:

totally weird, i have to tell.
so, i lived alone in this big fancy schmancy hotel / apartment building. there were two towers and a big central lobby, with wings off it with shopping etc, but i almost never went in or out that way, i used some direct staircase that went right outside, but in the dream i was meeting you there, in the main lobby, and thought 'i always forget all this stuff is here.' anyway, you and i were meeting up and going to some event. just as i was leaving to meet you i got a voice mail that was intended for you, but left with me. it was a woman, sobbing, telling you that Joanne Rose (ASIDE - I REALLY HOPE YOU DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW ANYONE WITH THAT NAME) had died, even though she put up a good fight, and she thought you'd want to know. She'd be in touch later with details. About a minute later you walked up. Oh, and you looked about 10 btw. Pinafore dress, braids, etc. So, i'm all upset because i'm not sure if i should tell you right now, because whatever
it was we were doing was something YOU were really really excited about and had been planning for ages and i couldn't decide if i should just let you do the fun thing and enjoy it or tell you about the call immediately. I knew i SHOULD tell you, but i was having this big moral dilemma. So, as I'm deciding we start heading to the event. We went out the back of the hotel lobby and we were on some fabulous ocean shoreline and started walking at the edge of the water towards some big office tower buildings farther along. At one point the buildings were perfectly surrounded by fog, so i decided to take a picture of the buildings. but every time i stepped back to focus it was like i was stepping down a really steep hill and i'd lose my footing and fall, but it was just a normal, gradually sloping beach. for some reason i took this as a sign that i had to tell, so i decided to just let you hear the message, but every time i tried to access it, i ended
up hearing live conversations between other friends of mine. my phone was all screwy.
then i woke up.
