I thought a couple of things during that. First, I cannot imagine what it was like to be towards the bottom of that scrum. It looked absolutely

viscious. The worst I've ever seen. Second, on the instant replay, you can see the ref dive in early in the scrum to see who had the ball. Guys were still flying on to the pile after that. I couldn't believe how brave that ref was (no padding or anything) jumping in that quickly.
