Depends on what you want to do

If you just want to enjoy the scenery and stay in a fancy hotel, go in the winter like in January when there's a lot of snow.
If you want to see the waterfalls they are largest/most spectacular in April & May with the thaws.
If you want to hike half dome, go in late May early June when the cables are up.
If you want to go when its not freezing and there aren't many other people, go in late September
