Sort of cool thing I heard on the radio today;

Back when I was in college 7 or 8 years ago I had to do a research project of sorts on applying modern economic theory to real world situations. But my professor was a bit of a bollix because he accused me a year earlier on cheating on a game theory exam (I got 100%) saying I must have copied it from a book and I schooled him one day in the corridor outside his office, condensing and explaining his whole course into 10 minutes, covering everything so that he'd believe I didn't cheat but the by product of that was that I made him feel like a complete dunce. So he had it in for me. I really couldn't stand him as a person either, but that's neither here nor there.
Anyway, for the project I had to do in my final year I thought for the hell of it I'd take his economic theories, apply them to the university and argue that (indirectly) he should lose his job. (I had the grades in other classes at this point, so I could afford to fuck with him on this one and suffer the inevitable bad grade)
So I did the project on research and development policy in Irish universities, arguing using the models taught, that essentially (it took 55 pages to get to this essentially) the best way forward was a merge of corporate desire to spend on r and d, with all the students working for them for free (lol) and they'd get experience out of it, making this pricks job redundant. I hand it in, he reads it, the next day he calls me into the office and basically tears me one, saying that would never work, I'm an idiot, basically making a mockery of his course and job (I was but it was still good policy), who did I think I was yada yada yada. He gave me 40% for it. Me laughing in his face didn't help much either in hindsight.
But to cut a long story short, on the radio today, the government announced, down to the letter, new national r and d policy to be implemented across the 3rd and 4th educational sectors, basically doing everything I had advocated should be done 7 years ago.
I've a great mind to email him for the laugh but I'm undecided between "Told ya!" and "Suck it"
