one of the things I would suggest for you, is to try playing some SWAT. It is more geared towards using the battle rifle and aiming for the head, and will help you get comfortable with it. Plus there are fewer grenades available, so while grenades are a big part of the time, I think for a new player, get more comfortable with shooting first.

Also, try Rumble Pit instead of Lone Wolves.

Also, you need to do some more one on one custom games where we can walk you through some of the maps and how to use weapons and vehicles more effectively.
