So it looks like I'm going to be getting a dog. Never had one before. Should be interesting.

Probably be several months before he/she is available (we're getting one from a breeder). I love animals, but dogs are a bit higher maintenance than I'd prefer. Frankly, I'm mostly doing it for my wife. My kids have been pretty difficult through this transition and she could use some unconditional love and something she can train and control to balance out the other stuff. I'm a little concerned from the allergies standpoint (even though these dogs are supposed to hypo-allergenic). Anyway, I guess I'm joining the dog club in a while.
