Crash, I don't know that D9's story was better than Trek's either.

One was a pretty strong alteration of established storylines (guy gets sick and must try to find his cure with unlikely aid while the establishment fights to stop him)

vs

A reboot of an existing storyline that touches on standard storylines (guy must discover his destiny in the face of a strong enemy while butting heads with contemporaries).

Both had their challenges to overcome and both did well to do it; one had a raw framework of plotting (as every movie does)...the other had a pretty established framework and still was inventive in it's story.

I think Trek was a better movie experience but this hardly detracts from the very solid nature of D-9.
