in others are thought lesser and an outsider joins into their world ... Jake Sully by choice; the guy in D9 by necessity....

I didn't think there was much growth from start to finish in the movie for him; the most effective was the prawn/his kid....

So yeah, I think that lack of personal growth per se hurt my impressions of the overall storyline.
