LYC: The third place that the brother offered on did not work out.

We didn't really expect it to, this was a shot at something a bit above his price range. Owner's counter showed that they are not willing to negotiate much on price.

Brother continues looking. If he doesn't find something in the next couple of weeks and this place is still on the market, maybe he can go back and see if they are ready to negotiate more.
