It's the cumlative effect though. This isn't really a big deal, but there's plenty of screw ups VANOC should be owning up to.

The luge death does not look any better five days out.
The speed skating course was held up by an unproven - possibly gimmicky - ice cleaning unit. Because of the post-Olympics conversion of that facility, it sounds like corners were cut as well.
The choice of Mount Cyprus for the events was a gamble that is not working out. (Course conditions poor, rain, spectator spots being cancelled.)
The torch at the opening ceremonies. The chainlink - almost afterthought - fence at the real torch is tacky and annoying.
At what point do we start to accept these aren't just "every Olympics blemishes" and maybe start to question the organization putting it into place?
