could have been hugely worse - crashed into a house and daycare, but it looks like only the 3 people on board were killed.

kind of crazy thing is that most of the city is without power (which also impacts water), and that may last for several hours. this impacts some namesweknow companies - HP and others on Stanford land included. not sure about the university itself, though.

google and intuit, among others, lucked out - both have their campuses right near the line of outages.
