Peter Jackson for Return of the King, Scorcese for Departed. I don't think being due factors in as much for actors, for some reason.
Anyway, it's a pity if Tarantino got nominated this year because there was an element of he's due about it. He's made some great films, but I don't think there's anyone who after watching Inglourious Basterds didn't think to themselves; "I thought that would have been better"
