And i kind of have to take Stojko's comments with a grain of salt. He placed silver in 2 Olympics because he ALWAYS emphasized the technical over the

skating components. And he used to lose those Olympics to more well-rounded Russian skaters who delivered more of the whole package. His stroking was always choppy. His footwork was flashy, but it was not intricate and he didn't always skate to the music. He could jump over a friggin' building, but that was about it. His article was biased towards the style of skating he used to do and always preferred.
