So Wednesday I had to go back to the town i was living in when I got divorced. I had "recruited" a couple of clients from up in that area, and even though they all know my wife, they wanted to keep working with our firm.
So Wednesday I drove up there, worked on an audit and two tax returns, had lunch in that town, and left around 6pm.
now, the audit client wouldn't stop talking about all the rough stuff that has happened to my ex-wife - miscarriage, boyfriend got in trouble with the government for not reporting income on his business, couldn't make her lease payments for her office, had to move (another friend of hers bought a building which she lives in one part and uses the other as her office, she pays combined rent), loss of clients, etc. I kept telling her I didn't care, but she thought I needed to know, to help the healing process.
now, i have no idea how my ex found out i was in town, I haven't talked to her in 10 months. I didn't care to see what/where her new office is, nothing.
but yet, Wednesday evening, I get this.
tru,
When we got divorced, I think I made it pretty clear that our relationship was over, so why did you come back into town looking for me? I have a happy life here without you, and a better life, yet here you are slinking around town, snooping on me, looking for me, spreading rumors about me.
I want nothing to do with you, so just leave me alone.
Ex.
PS I need to you to email me in regards to the filing of my taxes I want to make sure that we are diving costs correctly.
