There appears to be little malice from the parent, yet we're jumping to the conclusion that she's worried her little boy will be shown a man's pee-pee and told how great they are to hold.

No. She's raising a kid in a world that she certainly wasn't raised in and she's confused by what's the right thing to do.

And by over-using the word homophobe on anyone opposed to some of the changes taking place so quickly, the true bigots are harder to see in the group.
