Okay....here's a story...a team plays over its head and had a lead that slowly drifts to nothingness over a hard-charging team.....

the overachieving team picks the last weeks of the season to play it's worst ball of the season, yet nothing about their performance seems out of the abnormal historical record.

The other team continues to play well and wins the division going away, and proceed to sweep through to a World Title.

8 games isn't a 1993 Giants/Braves thing here. That's just getting beat.
