I guess Catholics attend a GF mass, right? Are there special Protestant GF services?

yep and for Orthodox Christians too (although the Orthodox calendar usually doesn't have GF the same week as the Julian calendar) - zork Mar 1, 09:20 1
- the GF service is basically a funeral. On Sunday people bring baskets with food, decorated eggs, candles, etc. to be blessed -- nm - zork Mar 1, 09:23
We have a service in our church (Evangelical Lutheran) that is lowkey and somber in it's attitude IIRC - oblique Mar 1, 09:19 3
