Golf always seemed fringe-y to me, but understandable. I can even understand Water Polo, since most high schools (in my area) had pools.

Bowling just seems...odd. And curling is similar.
(similar in that 'teams' have to go to a special place to play/practice, and not a typical high school sport.)
