I was blown away by it. I get the criticism of it and it definitely merits the "Dances with Aliens" moniker. But I felt the story was strong enough (even if it wasn't exceptionally original) and the visuals were so stunning that I was willing to accept a tried-and-true storyline. It really was incredible.
