her "current" fiance is doing something that makes him happier. she should be happy about that.
the financial situation needs to be addressed, but it sounds like maybe she thought she wouldn't have to work after they got married? umm, yah, that needed to be fleshed out early on.
also, I'm concerned she's so focused on the mom's involvement and the "beneath" him (and maybe more her) part that she's not caring so much about his happiness.
plus she'll be danged happy to have hands-on people and see their value when her toilet is clogged, house is on fire, etc etc. (snobby beyotch. ;p)
