I will say one thing: Doing statistics assignments as word documents was one of the dumber things I did in college.

I would have been done in half the time if I had produced them by hand (but I was concerned that my writing and drawing would be illegible.)

yes, you have close to zero chance of really learning any kind of math related discipline without doing hand calcuations. -- nm

oh, i did all the calculations by hand. No, I mean, I did all the symbols and documentation and "show your work" using Word.

yeah. But I was working as the computer lab guy in the library, so I had lots of time and lots of computer access (and lots of time to post on TT) -- nm
