I used to have the hardest time calling Africa. No one writes the phone numbers down the way they're supposed to be dialed.

which one is the country code and which is the city code? Do they get a 0 in front of them? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes one, sometimes both. Some countries are so small there is no city code. Then you are supposed to dial 011 for international calls, but don't forget to dial 09 to get an outside line, and oh yeah, there's a code in there somewhere for long distance billing.

It was a miracle I ever got through.
