something i came away from last night's show was .... (spoils)

Smokey's now recruiting folks .... and there was a line said that suggested that Ben would or could have been Jacob's replacement ... and then there's jack, kate, etc....
so basically the island is looking for a new Smokey and Jacob ... and i asked myself how many times through the centuries has this happened?
