I understand that. In many ways I am as well, but I guess it gets back to what you're doing in class.

If you're really listening, your notes are more distilled thoughts of what you've gotten from what you've heard rather than a recitation of what's being said. I know, everybody has their own methods, so I'll leave it alone.
