One of the strongest arguments against there even being a god is the whole "sin now, punish later" aspect. It's like a parent who tells his kid

here are the rules. When you turn 21 I'll punish you for every infraction. And then abandons the kid.
God is a mean, nasty, petulant son of a bitch if he exists because he takes an extreme hands-off approach to parenting and then punishes his kids for doing wrong decades after they do it. Unless they're really really sorry and kiss his ass.
