it still kind of shocks me how little UK stuff translates over here anymore

Oasis and Coldplay are about it since the mid 90s. i blame the decline of MTV. they were so starved for any content when it first started out, they had to play a lot of the Brit artists b/c they were doing videos long before the American artists.
