I don't see the difference. they're already stopping you anyway, and it probably takes less time.

I actually find it less intrusive here. instead of peering at you and trying to smell your breath, asking you questions about your night or whatever, the cop just asks you to blow straight away.
dane's air traffic analogy is actually fairly good. the current system would be like the security guys having to be suspicious before they could ask to x-ray your bags or make you go through the metal detector.
