I said this in an IM on another board, but I think given the unanimity of vote vote, there was some kind of bargain/threat that wasn't shown

Basically, I think that either James or Amanda went to JT and said "We have an alliance with Parvati. If you vote out James tonight, then you'll go into the merge as the smallest tribe and will have no chance at swinging Parvati over"

Then somehow JT's switch became public info and Colby and Candace followed him
