You can probably get the basics for around $100

To first brew it, it takes about 2 hours (setting up, boiling for an hour, cooling then putting it in the fermentor).
Wait around a week or two (depending on how long it ferments)
Bottle it in about an hour, then wait 2 or so weeks until it is ready for drinking
