Ok...because I have to vent somewhere...(spoils)

As you know, Carrie and I run a Cub Scout pack. Well, we have a Blue and Gold banquet every year. Catered dinner, skits, games, songs and our Webelos cross over into Boy Scouts. Ton of fun.

Every year, we seek donations from all over the city so that we can have attendance prizes for every boy that comes to the banquet. The Cardinals donate, the Rams donate...several places donate.

So, ANYway...we just learned yesterday that one of the people collecting the donations, made copies of some of the donation letters from one place (a pizza place called Planet Fun). As it turns out, that was one of the prizes Cameron won.

We went there a couple weeks ago. Well, they had given us 2 letters.

I get a call yesterday from the manager to let me know that they've had 4 letters redeemed. Upon describing the people that were currently in their place, I know EXACTLY who it is.

Further investigation revealed that this person had made the copies (unknown to me prior to this phone call) basically taking the attitude of "i'm doing all the work, my kid's gonna benefit from it."

As it turns out, this is one of my den leaders. And joining her on the trip to Planet Fun was the wife of the other den leader for that den.

To Carrie and I, the only true solution is that neither of these ladies be involved in running anything for either this den or the pack. Of course, removing them means that Carrie and I will likely have to take over this den...or risk losing the entire den.

Not to mention that we plan to reimburse Planet Fun for what was essentially stolen from them...and hope that we can get the Pack reimbursed from these ladies.

THIS is why I really don't want to do this anymore. How can someone be so fucking selfish to fuck over a Cub Scout Pack??
