I just don't see it. Deer never stole more than 12 bags, never hit close to .260 in a season (ok, once), and topped out at 33 HRs.

And we're talking about a guy in his second full season, so it's not like he has this track record of failure. And he hit .280 in 2007, and around .300 in the minors.
