close close: Catoctin State Park is nice. if you want to do some daytrips, the drive west on 70/68 is scenic. or south on 81 to Virginia

Shenandoah Drive. Harper's Ferry and Shepardstown in W.Va. are nice days out too. Lots of places up in Pennyslvania too but i don't like their roads
