I don't think he's said it's all at all, and you have to agree that it would only be good if those who are in the church and who are opposed to what

has been happening/what happened to be more vocal about it.
this is not dissimilar to when someone islamic does something really bad and we want to hear islamic leaders say it's bad. "we are not all bad, we condemn the actions, and we will not tolerate any more of them happening" goes a long way towards pr and respectability.
