You are not a horrible person, feelings are real - they are very real in your case.

You and Kelly are the only ones that can make the right decisions regarding your life.
Life is unfair. it's been unfair to you - to your mom. She is doing what she wants in her last months. She feels how she fees - whether is right or wrong - she took action on those feelings and now the rest of the family have to deal with it - can't go back and change any of that stuff - unfortunately.
My personal thought - the short term it will be helpful but in the long term - you may have wished you stuck it out with her.
