lifetime of being in control/controlling everyone-everything was ending. Her recent behavior isn't a 180 degree change, it's merely an alteration in course of behavior.

The vindictiveness of the "We're not deserving"...I almost wish that was easily attributable to the disease, but I don't think so wholely. I think a lot of it is she's losing control and can't do it well or even passably.
