As for your job hunt, it is what it is. Don't choose something just to get away, but don't avoid taking a job you want because you feel you have to be right there. You can be there, without being there if you know what I mean. What I'm suggesting above is not closing yourself off. I'm not suggesting you put your life on hold until this is over.
