Given how he found her it's not surprising she fixated on him.
But it isn't as if she stopped living life. She knew seemingly everyone, had a boyfriend and after the Prisoner Zero stuff a fianc�. She seems pretty well adjusted for someone who had a Close Encounter of the Third Kind at an early age.
And that constable's outfit she was wearing... That was fucking HOT!
