I gave a 100% tip on an India taxi once because A) he helped me not miss my connecting flight* B) it was a crap short fare for him otherwise* and C)

it was pocket change for me anyway
*I wound up taking a taxi from the Delhi domestic terminal to the Delhi international terminal (a couple of miles apart) because the line for the free transfer bus wasn't moving and I would have missed my connection...and been stuck in Delhi
