groiny, Pie is starting over Reimold for a couple reasons.

Mostly because they want to ease Reimold back. And part of that is because he would apparently go out there last year when he shouldn't have been playing without telling trainers or coaches anything was wrong.
Part of it is to reward Pie, though. He struggled quite a bit last year, opening the door for Reimold to be called up. After he was benched, he started to put in some work, and improved. He got regular playing time in August, and hit .333 with an OPS over 1. Then he came to spring training and impressed the team. I think he arrived early, and everyone said he was more mature. He also played better than Reimold.
He has changed so much from last year, I think he might've gotten the start even if they felt that Reimold was fully healthy.
There's also a chance that Reimold gets work at 1B.
