I like Mordecai as a sniper becuase he has the ability to release Bloodwing, his attack-hawk.

Roland iirc unleashes a turret that is basically a killing machine. I *love* that option when Truman deploys it in our co-op games.

Secondly, pick up almost anything you can and sell what you don't like/don't need.
