MDH, re: Star Wars In Concert. I saw it in November. It's pretty cool but I had basically seen it before and you can too ...

Look for the soundtrack CD for Episode 3 that includes the bonus DVD called Star Wars: A Musical Journey. This is what the concert was based off and is practically the same.
Concert Advantages:
The concert has an extra piece or two
The concert has a few lasers and pyrotechnics
A few of the visuals on-screen are different but not many. This of course other than shots of the orchestra and crowd.
There are the props and costumes on display but it's really hard to get through the crowds and get clean pictures (without people in the way and because of the lighting).
Being a part of the whole GFB experience with cool people in costume.
The chance to buy overpriced memorabilia.
The chance to buy an overpriced program although these may be available online. They are large format and quite nicely done IIRC.
CD advantages:
The CD and DVD can be had for about $12 total and you can watch over and over.
You have the option of watching with or without the between-tracks commentaries. Note: There are audio bites during each piece either way.
I also ripped the audio into mp3s and made a CD out of it.
Not being part of the whole GFB experience with awkward geeks in costume.
Pick'em:
The DVD is narrated by Ian McDiarmid, the concert by Anthony Daniels (with some humour thrown in). This is personal preference.
There is no "Concert DVD" available for purchase at the show. The number of times people asked about that is larger than the bounty on Hans head.
Certainly nobody is stopping you from doing both but I did feel that paying for the concert was unnecessary after watching (and listening) to the disc a few times.
