She was there before the divergent timeline, when she spoke with Daniel (then Faraday), so that "explains" that.
I get what you're saying, but I just "feel" like they're mucking about with characters randomly, rather than having purpose in what changed and what didn't. Granted, this is my "feel" of continuity, rather than a continuity error, so yeah, I stated it wrongly.
