Sorry I convoluted you with the however many other folks who are trying to argue that hiring a tax preparer is mandatory or necessary.

A lot of people do file their own more complicated taxes without professional help and do it correctly with all the proper deductions and itemizations. People who aren't Jack Dawson or tax professionals.
