If you're talking about the more militant wing of the LGBT community, it's almost an unforgiveable sin.

I mean, some of the lefty fringe types are comparing it to Alan Stock supporting lynchings and oppression of Jews and they're calling for him to be fired. I don't think he should be fired, and just firing the guy would be sort of a cop-out in my opinion.
I think the majority of LGBT folks will go back to Cinemark if it makes some sort of pubic action directly counter-acting Alan Stock's donation. For example, they could give $10,000 to Lambda Legal specifically for the purpose of supporting their marriage rights project, or they could make a $10,000 to Texas Equality, the gay rights group in their home state.
In fact, if you want, I could write up a 500 or 1000 word column on the subject tomorrow and Friday for BOP.
