I'd do away with both the hours page and the contact page and have that info in a sidebar or header on every single page.

That's going to be the main info people visiting will want and they shouldn't have to go to separate pages for it. The home page should contain the main information the customer is coming to the site for, not just a blurb that doesn't really tell anybody anything.
