SITWAP - so in response to Spirit Airlines making a charge for carry on bags, Congress is considering passing legislation making it illegal for an

airline to make the charge. Spirit's spokesman this morning said their fares are already lower than the competition - even with the additional charges for carry on bags. I guess if I were a regular traveler that didn't have carry on's - I'd be happy to not be paying a higher cost to fly ... and have those with them charged ... sort of like the "s la carte" charges on airlines now for getting meals, having luggage weigh over the limit, choosing first class, etc. etc. etc.. If their fares aren't attractive - people just won't fly them. Why does Congress have to get involved in all these things instead of letting the marketplace handle it? I don't get it - but then again - I hate flying and hardly ever do.
