First of all, thank you so very much for "Later, Skater"! I loved it really much, read it in like 5 hours and am still under impression. Seriously, had a huge impact on me.
But, where are my manners...
My name's Zhenya or Eugene - I guess the second one is a bit easier to pronounce =)
I live in Moscow and, well, that's exactly the reason why I decided to e-mail you. I was kind of shocked, in a good way of course , when I found out, that one of the main characters was a russian guy. You know, when I reached the very first words, that Kalki heard from Skittles, the ones in russian, I just couldn't help but wonder, what exactly did he say =).
And, yeah, another funny coincidence is that I have a boyfriend, whose name's Mikhail (that's the full version of Mishka =P ) Popov & now I just can't stop calling him Skittles all the time.
You know, because of your book we, me and my bf I mean, made a very serious decision - to come out and tell our friends and relatives, that we are in a relationship. I'm not sure whether you know or not, but people, who are not straight, are treated very badly in our country. I myself am bi, Misha's gay but that makes pretty much no difference at all. But I guess it'll work out just fine) Let's just hope we won't end up in a place like New Horizons... never saw one, didn't even think such places existed at all.
And, yeah, I'm 20, Misha's 18... useless info, I know, but nevertheless)))
