I'm one of the biggest opponents of a salary cap (in theory), but I see it looming on the horizon.

Owners have been gaining some fiscal sanity, and the players aren't liking it. In the next collective bargaining, I can see the players doing something where they accept a hard cap that is tied directly to a percentage of (total) revenues.
