The "full" package for my digital phone has free long distance, but I barely ever use any long distance.

Because of what I mentioned below, about my landline basically being a vestige of not quite owning my mobile, I've scaled the landline back to the cheapest package. It's been working great for what I need it for.
(I don't like using the iPhone very much as a phone at home, because I don't pay the bill. I just hook it up and use it as most people would use an iPad or an iTouch)
