Like every city outside of Boston/NY, it varies with the times. They lead baseball in attendance in the early 90s. (nm)

first team to go over 4 million home attendance in a season. the strike and management stopped wanting to pay for a competitive team killed that. -- nm

the new stadium drove a lot of the higher attendance figures though. Retractable roof in this climate was the only thing they could do. -- nm
